Generally wet battery that we
use in the car or a motorcycle during the last 1.5 years, depending on the
condition of the motor / car use. Along with wet battery life on
the vehicle, the battery cells will be coated sheet by sulphate crust. The thicker the crust, the reduced
battery performance. Could even really dead (soak
layman's terms) and can not be filled (recharge) again. If it were so, yes, the solution
is replaced with a new battery.

Materials
and tools needed:
• Powder ethylenediamine tetraacetic (EDTA) is in store chemical known as EDTA powder technical
• distilled water (not water batteries zuur)
• Teaspoon
• Glass or Bottle
• Battery hydrometer (for measuring water quality battery - can be obtained at the auto parts store with prices ranging from Rp 25.000, -)
• Lap (to clean)

The
steps are:
1. Pour 1 liter of distilled water into a glass or bottle.
2. For battery maintenance, enter 2-3 teaspoons powdered EDTA; battery that has to soak, put 4-6 teaspoons powdered EDTA.
3. Stir or shake the bottle to the glass.
4. Each hole / cell we see battery condition with a hydrometer. Cells that look closer to the "red" requires "a mixture of EDTA and distilled water" than a lot of healthy cells (green).
5. Soak for a battery that must be recharged, whereas for treatment of the mixture can be poured every month in order to be knocked sulphate crust. However, not all batteries are worn wet could be "turned on" again for several reasons, such as a short circuit within the cell or cells are severely damaged. In the site above, it was mentioned if using powdered EDTA routinely each month, can extend battery life up to 4-5 years. Kejepit economical solution in time!
